I am using StarBurnX.
Using the AudioBurner class I consistently get a Disc No Free Space error if I have more than about 45-50 minutes of music, as soon as I call the Burn method. I have tried with 3 different manufacturer's blank CDR's (all 80 minute) and 3 different computers with 3 different drive manufacturers. The discInfo says UsedSize=0, and TotalSize=~360000 which I believe is correct at 75 sec per track. The drive is ready, the disc status is writeable, etc... I'm checking every validation criteria that the SDK provides.

This happens with MP3, WMA and WAV files. I can creep up the total duration of music and it works fine up until somewhere between 45-50 minutes and then it starts throwing that error.

It also happens with the sample AudioBurner application so it does not appear to be my code.

Is this only a bug in StarBurnX?
If I drop the ActiveX wrapper and use the core will it work?

Hello,

Is this solved now? Where can I download the corrected file?
If not, will you let us know when / where?
Thanks,
Eric

Hello,

Eric, you can download the latest update of StarBurnX from our ftp site:

link was removed

Note: as the StarBurnX is COM component you should register new version by means of regsvr32 utility!!

Dmitry

Hi,

I downloaded the file, but it doesnt register.
It gives me a failed, on both win7 as on xp.

If I put the old dll back in place it registers.
The filesize is also significantly lower?

Any help, suggestions?
Thanks,
Eric

Update....
Very very strangly it actually registered on XP, but ONLY from a directory called c:\documents\components
If I try any other directory it doesnt register, and if I try it on win 7 from such directory it doesnt either.
(I also tried windows, windows\system32, no luck)

Update 2...
And if registered it doesnt burn...

Update 3...
aa... I figured it out, you need to keep both files the starburn.dll and the starburnx.dll.
In the previous version you needed only the starburnx.dll ? Will this change with this release?

Hello,

The latest version of StarBurnX supports the SPTD ... so StarBurnX use the StarBurn.dll now!!!

Copy the StarBurn.dll ( extracted from the StarBurnX_20090706.zip archive ) to the StarBurnX.dll folder and register the StarBurnX again!

Regards,

Dmitry
