problem burning with dvd-r and dvd-rw

when i burn files onto media that is DVD-R or DVD-RW
it says burn successful but there are no contents in the drive.

if i just change the media to DVD+R or DVD+RW it works fine.

can you please advice.

1) What do you use - StarBurnX or StarBurn core API?

2) We must look into the your StarBurn.log file!

i am using starburn SDK
not sure what will that means in terms of core or x

please let me know
also let me know where i can get the log location.

Hello,

1) StarBurnX it's COM wrapper around StarBurn core API;

2) Import this file "PathToStarBurnSDK\Bin\Log\StarBurn.reg" to the registry. Restart your application. The StarBurn.log file will be located in root of the drive "C" by default.

I can bet you're burning in test mode. Check the samples, double check your own code, read the help on how to do actual burn (sequence of actions) and enable logging and send us the log if still failing. "No log" means "no help" in your case. Good luck!

hey it cant be a test mode if same things work in DVD+R and not in DVD-R then there has to be something else.. right?

I don't have any time to guess. Provide us with the log and we'll tell for sure.

hi u were right it was due to test mode.
but then its really funny that. the test mode burns in DVD+R properly and not in DVD-R
maybe something u want to highlight to your development team.

It is referenced. You don't handle the callbacks properly in your application.
