Hi,

I am having a problem burning a Video DVD on a laptop:

Dell Latitude D600
1.6GHz
256MB RAM

DVD Drive DVD+-RW TS-L632D

The problem can be replecated using your VideoBurner.exe demo program

The results are as follows:

The first part of the log looks fine but it ends with:

22:30:12 Burning started
22:30:34 StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_TrackAtOnceFromTree() failed, exception 8, status 2, text "CStarBurn_ScsiTransportSPTI::ExecuteCDB(): Command failed"

Could you please tell me what is going wrong?

What does 'Exception 8, Status 2' mean?

Is there a list somewhere of these error codes and their meanings so that I dont have to bother you again if I encounter another one?

Thank you for your time

Best Regards

Dave

This is not the log. This is console output. Enable logging with extended API call and catch StarBurn.log and send it to us.

In your case you have power calibration area full... So we cannot pick up laser power and cannot burn successfuly. Please use other media.

P.S. And switch to STPD instead of SPTI as burning method. Not critical in this particular case but should be in general :)
