Hello,
I have encountered a problem creating video DVDs using the StartBurnX ActiveX component.
Simply put, longer length DVDs where the titles are split into multiple 1GB VOB files do not play in the VLC media player. This does not appear to be a problem with my DVD structure (VIDEO_TS folders, etc), as if I simply open the main menu IFO in VLC everything plays fine. The problem occurs when I use VLC to ‘open’ the disc (such as auto-play), rather than the individual IFO menu. I have also tried burning the structure using another program and the disc plays correctly.
VLC Video Lan player:

I understand that this is an open-source project that isn’t licenced by the DVD consortium, but I have never encountered problems with any other DVDs and have played literally hundreds with this program.
• A short DVD plays fine on auto start in VLC. • Long DVDs menu load, but when I click Play it simply goes to a blank screen and does not play the title (video). • DVDs created work in Windows Media Player, but not VLC.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or have a solution? I am concerned that DVDs created will not be able to play on other software and devices.
Thanks!
