#1 Burning Software

I mean can not get drive letter on USB drivers,and sometimes when burning 2-3% "get "exc 8, st31, CStarburn, execute cdb(), cmd failed",the old 4.1 seems burned it ok.
And under win98 starburn fail to find device unless update aspi drivers to 4.6 or above version ,old version starburn can find but can not get drive letter.

1) OK. So "does not find USB burner" finally morphed into "Finds USB burner but does not return drive letter for it". Correct? If yes, that would be fixed.

2) You've provided absolutely no information for failed burns. No logs, no description what was recorded etc -- NOTHING. We can do nothing with such "bug report".

3) We'll recheck Windows 98 and device location. Thank you for pointing.

the user wrote: The program doesn't recognize my Sony - 510A DVD recorder. Under Source and Destination sections of the Apollo program no devices are listed in either dropdown list. This is even after several attempts with both commercial DVDs and blank DVDs inserted into the drive and the Reload button pressed.

2:under win98.old starburn4.1 build 910 can find device but no drive letter.if the aspi is update to 4.71 device can not be found.new version can not find device on win98 with defauld aspi,if update to 4.60 or above device can be found.

3.sometimes,starburn just seem does not even call findcallbcak function.this problem occur on both version.log file is listed on previous reply.

and new 4.75 fail to burn video dvd sometimes.get error like this"writing failed, exc 8, st31, CStarburn, execute cdb(), cmd failed"

Actually the best idea would be if you'll provide us with his e-mail address and we'll communicate with him directly. B/s now we're playing broken phone game.

I notice that new version 4.7.5 need to blank disc firstly then burn dvd image or I will get an error like writing failed, exc 8,
st31, CStarburn, execute cdb() at about 3-4% ,old version does not need this.

If previous burn was in Disc-At-Once mode (single session DVD for DVD-Video recording, it was the only mode supported for DVD-R(W)) and current burn is in multisession mode (Packat-At-Once for DVD) -- complete erase is required. If not (you're burning DAO over DAO or PAO over PAO) no additional erase is required. Please verify this to be true. If you feel what I've just told is wrong -- it's a bug and we'll be fixing this.
