Once again...Hi at all!

Your web-page about StarBurn SDK reads:

...
...alone DVD player accepts.

Our unique audio decompression and compression engine allows burning of AudioCD compilations directly from compressed audio files (MP3, WMA, OGG etc). Also we allow grabbing of AudioCD compilations directly to compressed audio files. You do not need to deal with WAV intermediate buffering in both cases. Nowadays virtually any PC can handle compression and decompression operations transparently to the end-user.

Keeping in mind...
...

I don't find any matching sample...can you help again?

in short words, I want to provide 3 things with my app:
1) 1:1 Copies of Audio CD's (I know now, I'll have to rip the track to wav's and burn 'em via TAO or something like that)
2) Rip Tracks to mp3's (without dealing with lame or blame or... ?!?!?!?)(question above)
3) "reengineer" mp3's to an AudioCD (mp3->wav->TAO)

As you can see, I will only handle Audio CD - functionalities...

any suggestions?? a sequence of how to call wich functions in wich order with what parameters would help (a referer to the "proper" samples would be ok, too). As you will already know now, I'm not a specialist in scope of ASPI or general CD/DVD-aspects... so I can't imagine, where there's a difference between DiscAtOncePQFromFile and DiscAtOnceRawPWFromFile...so the most of the questions that I could ask are like: Do I have to "ignore bad sectors" when I'm dealing with AudioCD's etc.

when you started to learn all about ASPI & Co. ... what books did you read? :-)

still thankfull for any help

SpinDoctor,

audio compression / decompression engine would be exported by StarBurn.dll soon. We've got first working variant that is DirectShow based but b/s of a lot of software compatibility problems had to dump it. That's why FOR NOW press releases are not 100% matching StarBurn SDK exported functionality. That would stop being true quite soon :) We're working hard on fixing this.

1) is sorted out. For now hard disk should be used as intermediate buffer.

2) yes, with the exception we would not deal with compression to mp3. B/s of the stupid licensing mp3 compression engine would cost us around $10000 per year. Pay Thomson/Philips for using mp3 as destination format. That's why WMA would be an option. Or you'll have to deal with lame :( Sorry for this!

3) That would be fully supported also! On-the-fly (mp3/wma -> directly to CD). No intermediate WAV on hard disk (just if you WANT this).

Thanks!
