Dear Sir,

I did answer but got some feedback from your mail server about delivery errors :(

Please use StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_TrackAtOnceFromTree[File] to record your discs. There's
no need to use DAO16/96 or SAO in your case (and TAO is multisession and DVD compatible).

Thanks!

Regards,
Anton Kolomyeytsev

Dear Anton,

I sent the email below six days ago, and haven't received your customarily prompt reply. Have you an answer?

Thanks,
Elliott Shevin

Anton,

Thanks. Regrettably, I don't know what DA016, SA0, or DAO96 are, or how I would switch from one to another.

Can you furnish that information? And then, can you suggest a StarBurn operation I could try with first one configuration, then another, and so on until successful--at which point I continue the burn with whichever one I settle on? It'll make a lot of users happy.

In the meantime, I'll ask the user who sent the log to make sure his firmware's up-to-date.

Cheers,
Elliott

Anton,

I think I'm starting to catch on: DAO stands for "disc at once," and SAO stands for "session at once?"

If so, I know what the correct question is now:

My program gives the user a choice of TAO ("track at once") or DAO; is there a way to detect that DAO isn't available and disable the choice? Is there an advantage to DAO that makes that option desirable?

Elliott

Yes, exactly!

StarBurn_CdvdBurner_ProbeSupportedWriteModes(...) would do job for you (please see samples). In your particular case I would not mess with anything except TAO at all.
