Hello
I ran across this application from a company called Lavavo. They make an application called
Lavavo DVD Ripper. Found here
http://www.lavavosoftware.com/
I have been following this company for about 2 month or so tring to
figure out the true authorship of their applications. Myself and others
are following several other companies.
Did some research for this
http://www.drunkenblog.com/drunkenblog- ... 00534.html
and also this
http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID ... Popup=true
Not to mention that Lavavos DVD and CD ripper apps are now in question as far as legality.
A friend posted here about this issue that we have been working on.
http://lists.gpl-violations.org/piperma ... 00529.html This Lavavo DVD Ripper after it is installed from the downloadable demo on their site. Has a plugins folder in the installed directory in the programs folder.
If you open that up you will find a ActiveX control called lavavovcdburner.ocx.
The thing is when it is looked at with a string editor or a hex editor this
is seen along with other stuff.

We've contacted them to find out what's wrong with their license type.

BTW, DVDx could be found in too many applications. #1 DVD Ripper f.e. You can write me down to anton@rocketdivision.com to get more information about another companies using DVDx as core for their commercial products.

Well done!

Thanks a lot! :)
