(S)VCD, Temp. Directory?

I'm evaluating the StarBurn SDK. I have some problems creating VCD and SVCD. I even tried your sample project and get the same result.
I always get the following error (using Pascal Sample Project "VideoCD.dpr"):

VideoCD: StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_VideoCD() failed, exception 5, status 2, text "CStarBurn_DiskFile::CStarBurn_DiskFile(): CreateFile('D:\sources\Delphi\Test\StarBurnTest\StarBurn_VideoCD.ISO' ) failed, status 2!!!" VideoCD: EXITing with failure, Status = 2

I don't know why this is a problem. The directory is writeable, so there is no reason why the file cannot be created.

How do I set the temporary directory for starburn? Using the program directory is no good solution because a user with only normal rights has usually no write access "c:\program files\" where the application is installed in.

You've answered your question yourself: StarBurn_VideoCD.ISO is missing. Put it near your app exe or use Ex variant of the call passing path to this file manually.

I think it's not clear in the documentation that the ISO file must already be there. I thought "StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_VideoCD" wanted to create one. Can I create an empty file (0 Bytes) or how do I create such an ISO file?

No. Use pre-compiled ones.

Sorry, I did not noticed that there where templates in the bin-folder.

We are planning to purchase your SDK - we are currently evaluating the StarBurn OCX for our soon to be released product, and I have noticed the following when using the VCD call and iso templates:

With regards to the supplied ISO templates for VCD and SVCD burning: the resulting burned disk always has dates for the folders and files that are more than 2 years old. Also, the title for the VCD is always fixed. We need to be able to give the CD/DVD a user created title, and would like the dates that show up on the CD/DVD to be the actual creation date.

Is it possible to:

1) Change the title each time somehow?
2) Change the dates of the folders and files to the system clock date/time?

I am using Starburn.OCX version Version 5.12.2 (Build 2005-12-02), running on Windows XP SP2, compiling with Visual Studio 2005 C++. I see that you have recently released a newer version 6.4 which I have not had time to try yet.

1) Always grab latest version. We don't suppport anything older then put to public downloads. Not a current issue source, but... "For the future" (c) ...

2) Yes, it's possible to change namas and dates. Not with the current code but we'll do it if you'd anything more expensive then Personal version of StarBurn SDK.
