#1 Burning Software

Hello, I try grab and burn but I have some problems:
I can't use grab and burn: i use debian sid.
I can't erase either cd nor dvd.

I tried with win xp and it works perfectly.
With debian I can't burn too.
Any idea?

Try using full erase instead of fast one. What happens when you try to burn? What G&B says when it fails?

I tried full erase: but it failed too, I have this message:
0%, Erase error 1 (0x1) (93) has ocurred, existing!
I can't burn, because grab and burn want to erase the disc, whereas it says it's a blank one. And I have the same message.
I can erase and burn the cd-rw with nerolinux or k3b.
I tried with two burner: a plextor's px712a, and a a lg's gsa-4163b...
I really don't understand.

No. Same message. I don't understand why grab and burn wants to erase the disc, whereas the disc is already blank.

Yes, it's a good idea.
By the way there is a little problem when you run the application from a root account: after you close g&b, automount does not work anymore...until the next reboot...
It's a little "tiresome"...
And the interface is really ugly with root account...

Sorry, but I don't understand english very well: so what do you mean by "raw device access"?

There should be an option to give generic user access to storage devices. As it's the only thing we need from root account I think it's better to configure separate "CD/DVD burner" user instead of running such a programs as root.

Why can't Grab&Burn do this? Is this not curious?
