Hello,

A user of my application has reported that when he burns WAV files to a AudioCD, the CD will be unplayable if the WAV files contains metadata stored according to the RIFF standard.

Removing the metadata before burning the files will make the CD Playable without any problems.

Is this a known issue and if so how should it be handled?

Thanks in advance for a reply,
Mikael

Yes, there were some problems reported and we've fixed them in the current (not yet published) build. Before we'll issue you with an experimental version would you please ask your customer to provide us with a few sample WAVs so we could test StarBurn against them? Thank you!

No problem, I will ask him. Which person should he contact to upload/send the files to?

Do you have any planned ETA on the upcoming license containing these fixes? I'll try to adopt my next release to this date as well (if it's not too far away in time).

Thanks, Mikael

1) If you have own ftp please use it. In the other case please drop me a message to anton@rocketdivision.com and I'll create a ftp account for you.

2) You may use DLL now. We do plan to expand the samples & wrapper before release.

Thank you!

Update: I'm still waiting for the user to contact me back (he use to be very quick) but I haven't heard anything yet.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear something from him.

Best regards,
Mikael

Could you please skip doing this as I've already found a bug in the header parsing code :(
