Is it possible to use SPTD with static linking? I am signing my exe, but still get the following error:

CStarBurn_ScsiTransportSPTD::CStarBurn_ScsiTransportSPTD(): SptdUserGetPlatformInfo( 0x00000000, 0x0011D6AC, 0x0011D69C, 0x00000000 ) failed, status 5 ( 0x5 )

Thanks for any help.

Undoable. To use SPTD you need your software executable to be specially digitally signed. So you need either use StarBurn.dll or obtain your own license (and signing set) from Duplex Secure Ltd.

I understand it now. Thanks!

BTW -- is there a simple code to convert SPTI "\\E:\" to SPTD's CdRom1 format?

Best regards,

Piotr

I got around this by using StarBurn_GetDeviceLetter for CdRomX drive name and then comparing the drive letter. Is this bulletproof?

This is one way. Also you can drop us a message to support@rocketdivision.com and we'd issue you with a new FindDeviceEx and FindDeviceExEx samples. They now have unified lookup look so SPTI -> SPTD migration is really trivial.

I have the code working. One question remains though -- how do I install STPD silently?

Found it.

SPTDinst-x86.exe add /q

Is it OK to bundle the latest SPTD available from DuplexSecure, or should I use the version from 7.2.20 SDK?
