Is it possible to disable the message box that pops up in the unlicensed version of Star Burn SDK? (assuming, of course, that I am writing free program - which I am)

No. Or people will not buy SDK

If you're writing free application you need to provide us with READY application and will issue you with a personal digital key to unlock the library. Just like if you'd purchase it (SDK) for money.

However you need to understand FREE application is FREE application. There should be no AdWare stuff, no "lite version is free and commercial version is for money" and so on things.

Awesome, makes total sense! (I'm not a fan of adware at all)

I have a restriction in the license agreement (it must be for a not-for-profit organization use only) so that doesn't make it truly free from all restrictions. I had never really thought about it... but I guess it isn't truly freeware in the pure sense.

I'll pick up the version for shareware developers in the next month or so.

I love the way you let us get started without crippling us, time-restricting us, or majorly nagging us.

No, unfortunately "free for non-commercial use" is NOT "freeware".
