Hi,

We got a crash under Vista (64 bits)... here is the message :

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {B756C224-A1EA-44F8-95C1-9F726040C800} failed due to the following error: 80040154.

It is also possible that this error occured under other version of the OS.

What we suppose
-------------------
We think that you have build the C# Wrapper usign "AnyCPU" and not the "x86" option... if it is the reason, please provide us a "x86" version.

Regards

Are you talking about StarBurnX or what?

Yes, I have discovered that the problem can also occurred under XP !!

NB: If you have some C# code, you should compile it with "x86" option and not "Any CPU" option because the COM object is 32 bits.

Hi

1) It is also possible that this error (Code x80040154) occured when you have tried to use StarBurnX component without registration! It mean that you should call - "regsvr32 StarBurnX.dll" if you deploy your application (win32 or NET) on the computer which has no installed StarBurnX component!!!

2) Thanx, we are investigating your proposition!

Thanx

I use Visual Studio 2005 with a Deployment project and I register the "starburnx.dll" file with the option "vsdrfCOMSelfReg"

How can I have this error ? There are no depedencies ?

It is all I have to do !

Register the component before using.
