Greetings,

This really isn't a starburn issue, but I haven't gotten help elsewhere and maybe you can help, because you rock.

We are using Plextor 810SAB drives. If you put in bluray, HDD disks by mistake, or put in a badly damaged dvd (unreadable) or a dvd upside down (if it's grey, or non-painted) then drive hangs, you can still see it in widows but you can't access it. You can't remove it, disable it... nothing. It's just stuck. Until you reboot.

The company I work for uses robotics to insert disks into drives, so the easy answer of "Don't put in your disks upside down and you don't have a problem" doesn't always work, as I'm dependant on the user to put the disk in the correct way. (and you know how users are ;)

If you encountered this before, or have any advice. (we are a registered user of starburn) I would appreciate it.

Other drives seem to be fine, it's just the 810SAB's that give me the biggest headache.

Thank You

Hello,

If your drive hangs, then you can try unlock drive by disc manually ejecting.
Press manual eject button(small aperture) with help of a small blunt object like a paper clip :)
