AudioGrabber X version is not fixed(propertly). I've tried it on all my computers and drives:
Slimtype DVDR SOSW-833S - Not working on XP
Samsung DVDROM SD-616T - Working on Vista
NEC DVDRW ND 3500AG - Not Working on XP/Vista
Memorex 54Maxx 2452AJ - Not Working on XP/Vista
Matshita DVD Rom SR8586 - Not Working on XP
Matshita DVD-RAM UJ850S - Not Working on XP

And ALL of them are working fine in the core AudioGrabber samples. And as I said, I can't get them working myself in the code I'm building.

EDIT: I went ahead and tried my code on the samsung (the one drive that X seems to be working with) to see if it would work and it did. So I tried the same code on the other drives with some error detection and this is what I got back:
The Sessions interface is being created, but the count is returning 0. Then when I go get an item number I would of course get an error because I didn't get a count in the first place. The error is:
ErrorNumber = -2147352567 (80020009)
ErrorWinDescription = Unspecified error
Everything after that is down hill because the Sessions Item didn't returns the count Session objects. So it seems that StarBurnX is not seeing the sessions on drives. If X is only working with 1 out of 6 of my drives, I would suspect there are a whole lot of other drives it isn't playing friendly with.

Hello,

You can download the patched version of StarBurnX from the Rocket ftp:

link was removed

Note:

1) this version of StarBurnX is not the new official version, this is patch which is produced specially for you.

2) you should register this file on your local computer using the regsvr32 tool:

regsvr32 starburnx.dll

Regards,

Dmitry

Thanks, works great. Now, do you think you could point me to a sdk or something that I can program to convert the grabbed files into mp3. Remember, I'm using X so I guess I can't use what you got.

Hello,

1) You can convert the WAV file into MP3 format using the StarBurn SDK ( see the function StarBurn_StarWave2_EncodeMP3OGGFromWAV )

2) You can find the Audio Compressor example (binaries and sources) with the last StarBurn SDK installation.

3) Unfortunately the StarBurnX DOES NOT provide this functionality :( at least in the current version :)

Regards,

Dmitry

I've been told I can't/shouldn't use core functions, ex Compressor, with StarBurnX. viewtopic.php?t=1654
That's why I'm asking if there is something else I can be pointed to. So what is it? Thanks.

Hello Support,
Can we create an ISO image of an Audio disc ? If yes then how can you please kindly tell me. I am having an Audio disc and want to create ISO image of it.
I have gone through Grabber class but can't grab all the tracks at a time of an Audio disc.
I am using StarBurnX .NET SDK. (VB.NET)
Is this topic discussing the same issue. I was trying post my question as separate topic but read this and posting here.

Hope this is OK, but anyone looking to get Mp3s from "X" until v11 comes out can use http://lame.sourceforge.net/links.php. It works great.

We use the same overwrapped stuff for compression. So mixing two code paths is far from the best idea... Better just hold on :)
