I have a MATSHITA BD-MLT SW-5583 drive in USB port.
The MSVC sample DeviceInfo hang when find SPTI devices when there was a none-empty cd-rom or cd-rw in it.
DVD / BD disc did not behave like that.

And the log stopped at the copyright line.

All samples got the same problem.

I will cross test for some other BDs drive if I can find it
And I will test this MATSHITA BD-MLT SW-5583 onboard first.

Is this a known issue or ......?

Best Regards,
Quey

Well, if the same drive linked on the mainboard directly, it worked fine.

The program cacnnot be terminated by any means when hang, unless off-line the drive.

In my case, the drive use a USB hub (NEC b720112GK 0818E3004) and a USB-to-SATA (PL-2571 LF07203A GP2YR315)

And my application is target to USB usage.
:(

We have the same drive and it works fine. Unfortunately USB-to-ATAPI bridges are well known for it's "issues" so please try to find the one working with your hardware.
