Hello, I am new to Starburn, but it seems to be a very interesting app (especially because of its portability).

But I really would like to have it my native language german. :D

If I open the english.xml file it looks a bit confusing. I dont know exactly where to start.

Is there any How TO for translating Starburn?

Should I use the regular version or the portable one for translation? If it doesnt matter I would like to go with the portable version.

Hi, is it possible to get a trial version of starburn? I couldnt find it. It would be much easier to see my translation results regarding the registration process.

Btw. It seems that Starburn does not support umlauts and things like "ß". I believe this is called utf8?

edit:
1. Starburn is not really portable. It creates a folder in \documents and settings\username\...\Starburn Portable Edition (sorry, I dont know the exact english path)
2. I think I have found a spelling mistake in English_shark.xml line 105:
<Phrase ID="1IDS_STARBURN_GROUP_ALL_TOOLTIP"><![CDATA[All Content
Burn/Grab/Build/Convesion actions group]]></Phrase>

You can use a text editor like Notepad+ and convert the 2 files in UTF-8 without BOM :

Install Notepad+ -> edit the files to translate with it -> click to "Format" menu -> click on "Convert to UTF-8 without BOM".

I already use Notepad++, but I never knew that it has such nice features :D

Thank you very much. It works without problems 8)

edit:
I have translated almost everything of the main form, except some parts of Starport und the registration process. I cant see those phrases within Starburn, so it is a bit difficult to translate :?

I have found some "failures" in Starburn:

1. If I open the Tray menu and hover my mouse over the options I can see some info in the statusbar of the main program. But those information I cannot translate. But if I hover over those options in the main program everything is translated.

2. I cannot translate the word "Ready", which is shown all the time in the statusbar if my mouse doesnt have a menu.

3. I cannot translate the properties menu. I dont mean the tabs, but the information beneath those tabs. E.g. I can translate "Device Information", but I cannot translate "Vendor", "Product", "Revision", ...

I am not sure if you got my email. There was a spam protection which I had to accept, so that my email adress is marked as trustable.

Do I have to send my email again or is it automatically forwarded after verifying my adress?
