Image of Video CD/DVD

Hello Support,

1) While making image of one of the CSS protected discs in MDS/MDF format I got following error.
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040275): Internal SDK error:
CStarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber::GrabTrackCooked(): LBA 1030304 cannot be recovered
at RocketDivision.StarBurnX.GrabberClass.GrabDisc(String FileName)

as with current StarBurnX samples I was not able to make MDS/MDF image, so I am not having Debug logs to give you. Is the error code is enough or do I need to modify existing StarBurnX sample code and make MDS/MDF image that and give you Debug logs?

2) Can I create ISO image of CSS protected discs by StarBurnV12 which I just installed. Is there no way to make proper normal (not encrypted) image of CSS protected discs and play by mounting that in Daemon tool's Virtual drive?
I am having bunch of CSS protected DVD Video discs, but I cannot enjoy those movies as those are CSS protected. I am repeatedly asking this question because those discs are having Good Video quality, which I will love to watch by making a proper image and will like to backup those for personal use also by StarBurn.
I am not clear with the replies for the same question in other topic with heading "ImageGrabber Problem" like DVD-emulator should decrypt the encrypted ISO images of CSS protected discs. Will you please kindly explain me, what does that mean?

You cannot decrypt CSS protected DVD-Video titles with StarBurn SDK. This is illegal and we don't have this functionality as part of StarBurn SDK core.

Track ripping code found first unauthorized region (unreadable w/o CSS handshake) and stalled. This is normal. To rip DVD into scrambled MDS container
you need GrabDVD API exported from StarBurn SDK core. Then you'll be able to use Daemon Tools to mount this image and play it.

"To rip DVD into scrambled MDS container" means I can make MDS/MDF image of this video which will be playable. Am I right?

You may set property Grabber.IgnoreBadBlocks to true if DiscInfo.ProtectionSystem property is STARBURN_DVD_PROTECTION_CSS or STARBURN_DVD_PROTECTION_CPRM ... so ... in this case, I think

, protected DVD disc should be grabbed successfully!

Hello Sir,

With the same settings for Dual Layer CSS protected Video DVD of size 7.73 GB it took 4 hour 30 min.
I guess this is not normal. I having logs with me I will mail you those with reference to the discussed topic to support@rocketdivision.com. Even I think image file is encrypted, so how to see normal video from this image file. In ISO as well as MDS/MDF format. I am getting an error in Media Player. I am attaching that with this post.

I would choose to make an encrypted image and see a normal video from that.
