hello support,

Is there a way (with starburnX) to check if a disc is damaged and cannot be written?
I mean, if burning operation is interrupted by a power failure (for example), what about that disc?

1. Are previous sessions still readable?
2. Can I read something inside last corrupted session?
3. Can I check if lead-out is present on last session?

thanks a lot,
Massimo.

If you burn in SAO or DAO for CD - you'll have the TOC and partially readable disc (until the place where burning stopped). For TAO + CD you'll have unreadable media. For DVD+RW, -RAM and -RW you'll also have partial content. DVD+R and DVD-Rs will be unreadable.

1. We use BD-R and BD-RE discs. What about them?
2. In our code (we use starburnX), burnmode is AUTO. Which mode is used? SAO?

thanks,
Massimo.

1) TAO.

2) There are no DAO & SAO for BD or DVD. Please check FAQ.
