#1 Burning Software

Hello Support,

I am using StarBurnX.
1) I have observed a problem in my sample which uses StarburnX and StarBurn provided to me.
2) While burning any ISO image(of proper size <700MB) on the available Moserbaer CD-RW disc, which is fairly used. It never gives me any type of error message.
3) Burning completes. After ejecting drive and then again loading it the disc is still empty. It was not burned.
4) For re-checking this behavior in provided StarBurnX samples. Same results were obtained. For proper execution I had erased this CD-RW by Full mode log is attached.
5) Then I burned the same 20 MB image on the CD-RW. Burn process was completed successfully and then after agin inserting disc it was shown empty.Burn Image log is attched.
6) I have checked this disc with other applications. Those applications are burning this disc properly.
Logs are with this post. Will you please kindly have a look into the problem?

1) Do you happen to have the same issue with the other CD-RW media types?

2) Flash latest firmware into the drive.

I checked it at http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/AD-7220S/files.html, as per the contents on this website, Yes this is the most recent one.

Try opening device in SPTD & exclusive mode.

1) I am not able to open any device in SPTD mode. Only SPTI mode is possible. I am working with Vista 32-bit.
2) In StarBurnX exclusive access for drive is not given. I have discussed this problem in other thread with Dima Sir. They have solved the problem. Waiting for the build so that I can check this ISO burning in Exclusive mode.
Sir I am using SPTI, but What is SPTI mode and What is difference between SPTD & SPTI?

On behalf of me Will you please kindly ask Dima Sir for expected date for updates of StarburnX, so that I can schedule my work. I got stuck because of all the discussed problems in various posts. If some of them are fixed then I would like to use that functionality and please kindly mention fixed problems list and if any setting I have to make to solve the discussed problem.

We're already doing our best. This is not the only task and it's also not the most important. So we don't have any ETA for the RC build.
