Hello, I'm just starting to evaluate cd/dvd writer sdk's- I'm very impressed with your offering so far. I have four questions:

1) Can your sdk "format" raw media:
2) Do I have to "stage" my files in a temporary area before I burn them to disk?
3) I'm working a backup utility what mode and/or example program should I look at that would be best to write the contents of a zip file to? (the zip contains all of the files that are backed up and I want to burn)
4) Is it possible to "add" files to a cd/dvd at a later date?

Thanks in advance,
Gene

1) If you're talking about particular +RW, -RAM and -RW format procedures - YES, StarBurn can format raw media. If you mean DLA (Drive Letter Access) used with so-called Packet Writing - NO, StarBurn does not support this stuff (and there are no plans to support it so far).

2) No, we do support on-the-fly recording. You just build virtual file system pointing to existing files scattered among different pathes.

3) and 4) Please take a look at TrackAtOnceWithImport sample. It's *EXACTLY* what you need.

Thanks!
