Hello Alexey,

I have not changed my application code.
This happens after huge data has been written to a CD.
I have also checked teh Event Log.
It did not show any error or warning that asp.net has been recycled.

Regards,
Annie.

Annie,
please send us your current application code and log from Sysinternals DebugView.

You can download DebugView from http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/DebugView.html

To make DebugView log:
- close all other applications
- run DebugView
- run your app and perform burn session to reproduce error
- in DebugView: file - save as to save log to text file.

Hello Alexey,

I tried to recreate the situation where the application restarts, but could not make it happen.
This seems like some problem with my IIS.
Also i have changed SetCacheBufferSizeInMBs to 64 and it helped.
Now the memory usage has improved.
Thank you for the suggestion.

I would like to know as to how do i calculate the Value of CacheBuffer.
Do i calculate the CacheBuffer depending on the data size. or do i keep it constant to 64 always?

Regards,
Annie.

For now please stick with 64MB when burning CDs and 96-128MB when burning DVDs. OK?

You both should have now updated StarBurn OCXes. Is everything OK so far with new code and new settings?

hello Anton ,

The hardware problem is solved :) .Thank you so much.

Just one thing i noticed was that the version of ocx that you have given me does not have the SetCacheBufferSizeInMBs method in it ?

I was trying to set the cache size to 64 mb as i read somehwere in this thread , but couldnt find the method. Any reason why?

- Steve

Good! :)

I guess it's before Alexander prepared you build before we've exported this method to Annie. In the release version you'd have it :) Or if it's critical for you - drop us a reminder to info@rockedivision.com and we'd issue you with the newer one right now.

Thanks!

Hello,

Can I get the latest OCX too ?
The one which Steve is talking about. In which both the Sony Hardware writer support is included and also the SetCacheBufferSizeInMBs method is available.

Please email it to me.
Thanks.

Annie

If you don't have problematic hardware you'd better wait for the more or less stable version. The one we've sent to Steve is experimental one.

Hello Anton,

Ok.
Actually wanted to test out the scenario that Steve was facing at my end too.
Can you please tell me the date of final release of StarBurn OCX.

Regards,
Annie

We're planning to release StarBurn (with OCX of course) in the first or second week of June. If it's too late for you - guys would proceed with release candidate in your case. Let me know what do you think. Thanks!
