Hi Anton,

Another question.

I am recording a data DVD from an image file containing a UDF/ISO bridge file system. I'm using the TrackAtOnceFromFile function.

If I record an image file of 28,451 LBs, the padding for a DVD-R is a massive 495,837 LBs.

I'm building an image file based on the size of the media, but with the padding, it's causing the recording function to fail because of lack of space on the end.

I noticed you have two undocumented functions, GetDvdPadding and SetDvdPadding which sound exactly what I need.

What benefit does the padding have on the disc? Why is it needed? And if I set it to be 0 with SetDvdPadding will there be any unwanted side-effects, or more importantly, is there any reason why I shouldn't set it to 0?

On a different note, is this the best place to send these questions, or is the support email or your personal email better?

Also, have you had a chance to look at my other two posts? The image file size and also the Lock/Release problems?

Thanks,

Colin

Hi Anton,

Ignore this question, I just found another topic that describes it!

I searched the forum using the string "padd" and no hits were returned - guess it needs full words.....

Thanks,

Colin

Yup. Form database gets large and there are problems with forum indexes. We're looking forward to migration to new message board soon. For your pleasure :)
