Hi,

We're building an image file ourselves, UDF/ISO bridge, and transferring it to CD/DVD using StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_TrackAtOnceFromFile.

Once the record has completed, we call StarBurn_CdvdBurnerGrabber_VerifyFile for verification purposes.

This works fine for CDs and single layer DVDs, but when we verify against a dual layer DVD the verification is failing about 50% of the way through. This is known because of the callback output.

The failed LBA that's being returned is 0, even though it's verified over 50% of the disc already, so something is wrong there!

Is there a 32-bit problem here, i.e. verifying over the 2^32 bytes, or is there some other problem with big image files?

Please can you advise if this is a known problem? And what should we do to verify DL media?

Thanks,

Colin

I would appreciate if you'd provide us with debug log from failed verify process (you can do it later even w/o burn, just stick with the same file set). Thanks!

Well, I was not able to reproduce the problem here. I've tested with +R DL media recording and also with verification of already created discs (>8GB in size). Even wrote special SDK sample for this. Could you please drop me a message and I'll send you a tool and source? So you could check the same image after it's being recorded. And I still need debug logs from failed verification - maybe it would help to fix the library remotely...

OK, thanks for trying. I've moved onto something else for a couple of days but will try this again probably towards the middle of next week. I'll make sure debugging is on and left on as well, as there's a couple of +R issues that we've discussed.

I've got a test program as well that verifies the disc against the image, so I'll use that one. It's pretty straight forward stuff with your API :D

Thanks again

Good. As I'll delay StarBurn update before we'll sort this issue out.
