I have a question: When I'm burning UDF discs, all filenames are converted to uppercase. Is this a limitation of UDF discs?

No. It's a limitation of our (StarBurn SDK) UDF implementation. This "feature" would be removed in the next major update.

Has this limitation been removed from the SDK? When I burn a UDF disc, all of the filenames appear in uppercase. The filenames are not truncated to 8.3 or 32 characters, but they still appear in uppercase.

Any thoughts?

Use UDF2 API rather then old UDF API.

Is the UDF2 API only for UDF v2+? Our application is still supported on Win2k at present, which I believe only supports up through UDF v1.5.

This is new UDF API but it uses UDF 1.05 (sick!) with versions up to 2.60 available in upcoming release.

Sorry, could you clarify that for me? Do you mean that the UDF2_* calls create/manipulate a UDF v1.05 filesystem structure? And in an upcoming release of the SDK, there will be options to use those or similar calls to create UDF v1.5/v2.0 filesystems?

Yes, exactly.

On the StarBurn SDK page (http://www.rocketdivision.com/burn_sdk.html), it mentions support for creating UDF 1.02, 1.50, and 2.01 filesystems. How does one choose which version to create with the current SDK? Or is the web page incorrect?

This is not exported yet. Will be in the lastest version.
