I am new in this forum and greet all.
In the antivirus software you ought to insert starburn in the exclusion.
In this way starburn is fast to detect device.
I have test it.

B/c you have improperly configured AV software. Exclude StarBurn from monitored software list. As StarBurn does A LOT of file I/O b/c of the obvious reasons checking what it does with every file takes ages.

Henry, DevHome,
I've reproduced the problem and found how to fix this,
You have to add StarBurn's log folder to antivirus exceptions.
(C:\Documents and Settings\"Your User name"\Application Data\StarBurn\12\Logs)
Please keep me posted about your experience.
Thank's
Max

Hello, Max
I have inserted the StarBurn's log folder in the exclusion of AV ( ESET antivirus ) and starburn work property.
I think it is correct for all antivirus software.
I try starburn with other antivirus with this "trick" and then I send you the result.
With some antivirus software like kaspersky Kis Kav all version, norton 2009, AVG free sturburn work normally and it is not necessary to inser the log folder in the exclusion.

I'm sorry for my english

thanks, thanks

bye-bye
