I know the examples show skipping OPC when burning in test mode. But on my system, writing a VCD of any size without sending OPC leads to a EN_SCSI_CDB_FAILED failure, and when I send OPC, it succeeds.

Any comments?

Doing OPC exhausts limited OPC region (~100 test burns). So it's not a good idea... Back to your question - we need a log but from my experience I think you're using test burn with SAO. In such a case you've simply found a bug in the device firmware.

I was going to ask if you wanted the log showing a successful test burn, or showing an unsuccessful one.

But first, since you suggested a possible bug in the firmware, I upgraded (it was several generations behind), and the problem is solved.

One more thing--you were right. I was trying test burn in SAO.
