I noticed that StarBurn X did not include a Multi Burner sample. Is StarBurn X well suited to multi burner applications?

If so, are there recommended system requirements based on how many burners will be used simultaneously? (EG: P3-800/256MB for 1 burner, P4-1.4/512MB for 2 burners...)

And how many burners maximum would StarBurn X support simultaneously? (no matter how high the system requirements)

Many thanks
- Shaun

StarBurnX and StarBurn samples are not really have to be synchronized.

Yes, you can use StarBurnX with multiburning.

Make sure you do allocate enough memory for buffering (but not more then 40% of system RAM). And make sure you have fast hard disks as different streams can kill even modern RAIDs. And use FireWire attached devices (if external).

Your configuration should support at least 4 burners working in parallel just fine. At DVD 16x of course.

Awesome.

Is there a specific way to allocate memory or do you just mean make sure the system has enough RAM to do it?

Thanks again

Check cache parameter value you pass to all of the CreateXxx StarBurn API calls. That's it :)
