I have a VB.net program that will use your software to 1. Create an image of a disk and 2. write that back to another disk if necessary or open in Daemon tools.

I am currently using the Grabber.grabDisc to capture the disk which formats it as an MDF/MDS file. No problem there. My question is what do I use to burn that back to a disk? Would it be the Databurner.GetFileObject to import the MDF?

Thanks.

Don't backup multisession discs. They are not supported for 1:1 copy. Single-session data disc can be stored to ISO and either recorded back (supported) or also could be mounted into StarPort DVD emulator (no need in Daemon Tools or other third-party one).

I think I may be missing something then. Does the grabber grab any data on the disc regardless of being multisession or not? And is there a different way to grab a disk to ISO format instead of MDF? The databurner has the SaveImageFile method...but I don't know how to specify a disk...only add IdataFiles and DataFolders. I am really looking for a function that just says GrabDisk(drive) and BurnImage(path\file.iso).

Hello,

1) Use the Grabber class for grabbing data from CD/DVD media. This class provide three special functions:

- GrabTrackAsData - ISO image file in result
- GrabTrackAsAudio - wav/wma file in result
- GrabDisc - MDF/MDS file in result (Will be grabbed ALL Data from the disc!!)

2) Use ImageBurner class for burning image file on CD/DVD media.
Note: now the ImageBurner class can burn only ISO images. The ImageBurner class will be able to burn MDS/MDF images - from the next update of StarBurnX.

3) Using the DataBurner/UDFDataBurner class You can manually build the ISO image.
