ISO image burning problem

Hello
I want to burn an ISO image on DVD. I am using the starburn version as follows
Starburn.dll 13.0.3.2320
starburnx13.dll 13.4.130.0
Please consider the following scenario. I have a text file(or any other file) and I renamed it to ISO. It means this renamed ISO is an invalid file. When I am giving this file as input to burn on DVD and burning starts, nothing happens. The burning started, no progress shown, nothing written on the DVD and no error is reported. After about half hour, I manually stopped the burning. The expected is that component should throw an exception. Is it possible in this type of scenario? or else if there is any way to detect that the input ISO file is VALID TYPE OF ISO FILE.

When can I expect the solution?

Start with updating to the most recently released V15 to see do you still have the issue.
