Burning a VCD using DVD media?

Can the VideoCDEx call work with DVD-R media?

We are using TrackAtOnce, and it works fine with CD media. But with DVD media we get an error that DVD media does not support a non-data stream.

We were hoping to use the VideoCD call even with DVDs, to avoid having to make an MPEG2, separate out the audio and video tracks, etc.

It's not possible. Neither with StarBurn nor with any other toolkit or application.

What you can do however - just burn set of MPEG files in ordinary data mode. Most of the modern devices would understand and play them just fine.
