Hi All,

I want to integrate a DVD Burner with my application so I am studying your SDK. My requirement is I want to create a Video DVD of a WMV File with these features –

a. Background (Choose a background image (skins) or add a custom background. Default should be the same background chosen for the video)

b. Layout (Vertical Left, Centered, etc…)

c. Menu Title (Edit title and change font size, style and color)

d. Chapter Title (Edit chapter title and change font size, style and color)

e. Video Thumbnail (Default is first photo in video. Need ability to change thumbnail)

f. DVD Writer (select DVD burner)

g. Disc Speed (1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, MAX)

h. Disc Format (NTSC, PAL)

i. Video Quality (Normal, High Quality)

j. Copies (Select number of copies)


Does your SDK provide these features? Just comment how many features your SDK provides.

If your SDK provides almost all the features then I also want to know the license details.

In your case you need to perform such a steps to get DVD-Video:

1) Recompress WMV to the multiplexed MPEG2 video / AC3 audio stream.

2) Perform DVD authoring (adding menus, backgrounds etc)

3) Do DVD-Video mastering. In the other words - take bunch of files from the step 2) and create valid DVD-Video image.

4) Burn to the DVD.

StarBurn SDK itself can handle only 3) and 4). So you need third-party toolkit for both recompression and DVD authoring.
