OK, this all means you don't have proper Media Format SDK support binaries. They are installed with Service Packs or with Media Player. You can go both ways - either install redistributable binaries (quite small) or upgrade to Media Player 9 or 10. In any case - please let me know what software configuration you have on failing XP system.

P.S. We just assume our customers use latest released SPs - SP6 for NT 4.0, SP2 for XP and SP1 for 2003 Server.
